Scope: Metal detecting search for the described lost item at the specified location.
Permission: Client confirms they have authority to permit a search on the property and will obtain any permits required for public lands.
Fees: Base fee due on arrival. If the Hybrid option is selected and the item is recovered, a success fee of 15% of the item’s value or $150 (whichever is greater) applies, capped at $600 unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Safety & conditions: We may pause or cancel for unsafe weather, tides, or conditions. Water searches limited to safe, shallow depths.
Ownership: Recovered item remains the client’s property upon verification of ownership (photos/description).
Liability: We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, buried utilities, or hazards. We dig minimal, careful plugs and restore the ground.
Media: No photos/videos will be posted without consent.
The base fee covers our time and travel. With the Hybrid plan, you only pay the success fee if we find your item.
We agree on a reasonable market value before the search based on receipts, appraisals, or comparable listings.
